A new fan of dinosaurs!

The family made its first of what will surely many trips to the Natural History Museum in Cleveland. And the dinosaur skeletons were a hit!

Addy meeting Steggy.

"Why's everything's so big, Daddy?"

Addy's dinosaur face.

Our little engineer, hard at work in the hands-on discovery room.

Making friends with the animals in the outdoor exhibit. Addy saw all sorts of local wildlife - deer, wild turkeys, owls, and the crows & river otters pictured below.

Valentine's Day Fun at the Children's Museum

One of our new favorite places - the Children's Museum. Addy and her friend Gracie had fun making Valentine's Day headbands.

Addy modeling hers.

Going down the slide.

Playing at the super cool water table.

Hello...my name is Trouble

What happens when Mom lets me pick out my clothes..."I'd rather be naked" t-shirt, snowpants, and a red heart vest.
I got the yogurt container away from Mom at breakfast. Ha.

Aren't I hilarious?

And a mess.

Tackling Uncle Sean.
Showing off my new climbing skills. This can only mean trouble.

"Look Mom and Dad...the windowsill makes a great seat."

The snow is here!

Winter is most definitely here in 2009! And Addy is loving the snow!

Loving the sled.

Daddy was driving the sled and only tipped her out once :)

Working on that whole "making a snow angel" thing with her friend and neighbor Astrid.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! Love, Addy

Video of Addy opening a present from her Grandpa John and Lizzie.

On her new sit and spin.

People always say kids loves the boxes more than the actual present...and the box is even better when Uncle Sean jumps out of it!

Dragging along a miniature red Radio Flyer wagon.

Super excited about her real red Radio Flyer wagon, a Christmas gift from Grandpa Russ & Grandma Carol.

Addy's First Birthday

That's right...Addy's 1. And what a first year it's been. It's hard to even put into words what happiness and joy Addy has brought to our lives. And we can't wait to see what the next year will bring.

At one year, Addy is now 31" tall and weighs just 18lbs., 14oz. Tall and thin - where she got that from, we have no idea! The reason she probably stays so thin is not because she doesn't eat - the child loves to eat - but because she is constantly on the go. Addy has been walking since about 10 1/2 months and has now taken to running. She loves reading her books, playing peek-a-boo, and waving "hi" to her best friend Indy.

Here are some shots of Addy of celebrating her first birthday.

With some of her favorite new toys - her doll, her castanets, and her corn popper.

Addy did not dive into her cake...the best she did was stick her finger in the icing and try to feed it to her daddy. Oh well, maybe next year.

And here's Addy and her Uncle Jay at a shared birthday party in Toledo.

Some of our favorite pics

After picking apples in the orchard through Addy's birthday and the holidays, Mommy fell off the cart, so to speak, and didn't make a single blog update. But here are some of our favorites pictures from those few months.
Happy Halloween!

An avid reader :)

Happy Thanksgiving! Addy loved the turkey and all the yummy sides, as you can see from the cranberry stains on her shirt :)

Playing the piano with her Great Grandparents.

All bundled up and ready for winter.
